Drug Task Force Arrests Two Following Traffic Stop

KEYSVILLE – On June 6, 2017, the Tri-County Drug and Gang Task Force, comprised of narcotics investigators from the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office, Lunenburg County Sheriff’s Office, and the Virginia State Police, conducted a traffic stop and subsequent search warrant in the Keysville area of Charlotte County. The search resulted in the seizure of heroin, cocaine, and heroin paraphernalia. The investigation resulted in the arrest of two individuals, James Hodges (Nottoway Co.) and Tiffany Newton (Keysville). The charges ranged from possession of heroin with the intent to distribute to possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute.
