Driver Killed

Virginia State Police Trooper J.V. Bavely is investigating a fatal crash in Charlotte County. The crash occurred July 14, 2015, at 6:20 p.m. on Route 360, east of Route 40. A 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt was traveling along Route 360 when it ran off the left side of the road. The driver, Linda R. Callaham, 57, of Drakes Branch, Va., overcorrected, which caused the vehicle to cross back into the travel lanes and overturn. Callaham was not wearing a seat belt. She died at the scene. The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Route 360 was reopened by 8:13 p.m.
