Inclement weather caused the second annual Biker Buddies For Life Motorcycle Show, originally set for Saturday at Badeaux’s Cajun Restaurant, to be rescheduled for Sunday afternoon. Even after posting the change on social media, the rescheduling in the end caused attendance to be way down from last year’s event. Nevertheless, a few stalwart supporters of the cause showed up on Sunday afternoon to show off their rides. Luther Wooten, from Amelia County, spent the beautiful sunny afternoon giving free rides around the parking lot to children and patrons on his custom built three-wheeler motorcycle. Luther’s far out Trike won Best Paint in the afternoon’s competition, and Charlotte County’s own Jimmy Hodges’ home built beauty won Best All Around. Tiffany Franklin and Joclynn Pleasant were the official trophy presenters for the show. Proceeds from this annual event benefit Special Olympics.
