Crossroads Community Services Employment Programs Receives Accreditation

1128 crossroadsCrossroads Community Services was recently notified of their full three year accreditation by CARF International for the Community Employment Services. The accreditation was in four areas: Employment Support, Employment Development, Employee Development and Employee Planning Services.

This program serves individuals who have barriers to employment. Staff provide pre-employment skills training, job development, and community placement with follow along employment services and job coaching. Employee/trainees provide grass cutting, landscaping, cleaning services for homes, businesses and vehicles, snow removal and other job services to individuals and businesses throughout the area. Over 65 employee/trainees are served annually by Crossroads Supported Employment and Commercial Heavy Cleaning programs.

Per the CARF accreditation letter: “This achievement is an indication of your organization’s dedication and commitment to improving the quality of the lives of the persons served. Services, personnel and documentation clearly indicate an established pattern of practice excellence.”

The following management staff were instrumental in this accomplishment: Diana Messer, Habilitation Services Manager; Ken Jungersen, Director of ID Day Support and Daphne Weaver, Director of Intellectual Disability Services.
