County spelling bee announces winners

The Charlotte County Spelling Bee was held on January 13, 2016.  The participants from Bacon District were Kanye Dailey and Gabrielle Holcomb. Tori Badeaux and Oneisha Clark represented Central Middle School.  The participants from Eureka were Haroon Abuzaid and Emily Tharpe. Aiden Bryant and Mary Scruggs represented Phenix Elementary School. The judges for the spelling bee were Allison Gibbs, Rhonda Jones and Charlene Whitehead. After several rounds of intense competition Tori Badeaux was named as runner-up and Oneisha Clark was announced as the spelling bee champion. Oneisha will now move on to represent Charlotte County at the regional spelling bee in Richmond. Congratulations to all of the participants for a job well done!
