County Hymn Choir Holds Sing-In

The new Christian year began on the first day of Advent, December 1, 2013. The second season in the Christian year begins on Christmas Day. This Sunday, December 29, 2013 will be the fifth day of Christmas. The County Hymn Choir will celebrate this second season in the Christian calendar with a community Christmas Carol Sing-In at Phenix Presbyterian Church.

Choir director Carleton Dickerson located a book of Psalms and Hymns donated to the church in 1925 when the church was 11 years old. As the church enters its 100th anniversary year, this 1925 pulpit copy presentation made by the Junior Christian Endeavor Society, will be used to open this event. The first hymn in the book is In Thy name, O Lord, assembling. Please bring your family and friends to enjoy this community event.
