Consolidated School Too Expensive -Abortion in U.S. Akin to Hitler’s Murders

Too Far to Bus Small Children
On September 8th I attended the regular meeting of the Charlotte County Board of Supervisors.  My purpose was to hear first hand Mr. Ted Cole’s report to the board the cost for the taxpayers to build a new consolidated school.  Mr. Cole is with Davenport & Company and serves as the county’s financial advisor. He most recently guided the county thru financing the new courthouse.
He opened up advising the county›s best and maybe only opportunity to fund such a large project over thirty years would be thru Virginia›s Education Fund.  He stated they were projecting an interest rate of 5% and debt service (annual payment) would be $1,750,000.00 per year meaning a $.17.5 cent increase on property taxes !!!!!! This would be on top of the $.05 increase last year as well as a projected additional $.02 for next year to fund the new courthouse.  Meaning if the board were to fund the new school being requested by the school board our property taxes would increase by almost 50%.  When asked by a board member about the $700,000.00 the school board advertised they would save and could help fund the school, Mr. Cole said those figures were only a guess as to what they might save and can›t be figured into any payment plan, that the board of supervisors could offer some tax relief in the future after those figures were validated over time to see what if anything the county would save. Mr. Clark then advised we couldn›t use those savings anyway to fund debt service due to the fact the county is only funding our schools $100,000.00 over state minimums now.  To that Dr. Leonard advised the school could use this savings to help with repairs to Randolph Henry and Central.
This all got stated with a request to update Phenix School that was built in 1959 and has had no major upgrades since it was built, while a new school was built in Eureka and Bacon was extensively remolded.  This whole project has gotten completely out of control.
My point – we the taxpayers of Charlotte County have to stand up and unite for an affordable plan that is in the best interest of our children.  Busing 5-year-olds to one school in a county our size is NOT the answer and there is lots of data to support this!!!!  While I know it has worked in some of the counties around us they are also half our size so that is not a good comparison.  I urge our boards to put together a long term solution to fix our neighborhood schools that have made our county so proud for so many years.

One political party in the U.S. projects itself as the party that protects the poor, the helpless, and the innocent.
Who could be more helpless and innocent than a baby in the mother’s birth canal? The child is waiting to be delivered by the attending doctor, who has taken an oath to do all in his power to preserve human life; the oath reads in part: With regard to healing the sick, I will devise and order for them the best diet, according to my judgment and means; and I will take care that they suffer no hurt or damage….Nor shall any man’s entreaty prevail upon me to administer poison to anyone; neither will I counsel any man to do so. Moreover, I will give no sort of medicine to any pregnant woman, with a view to destroy the child.
During Hitler’s “Final Solution” program, 8, 881, 800 Jews were murdered according to The Jewish Virtual Library.
Statistics compiled by the U.S. Center for Disease Control, show the reported number of deaths of babies caused by abortion from 1970-2011, as being 51, 223,868. These facts show that Hitler’s “Final Solution” policy killed some 42 million fewer lives than did infanticide for this specified period in the U.S.
Perhaps the political party that endorses the murder of these infants should consider calling America’s abortion policy “The Final Super Solution, #2.”
