I will be voting for Congressman Robert Hurt on November 4th because he is fighting for job creation in the Fifth District.  Since day one, Rep. Hurt has been an advocate for the Virginia economy, fighting to get bipartisan jobs bills passed.  He understands that we need to get people back to work to get Americans back on their feet after too many tough years. Many of the House-passed bills to grow the economy have been blocked by the Democrat Senate, but hopefully that will change with this election.  People are tired of Washington standing in the way of more jobs and better pay.  Vote to send Robert Hurt back to Congress so he can continue to fight to make our communities stronger.

Please consider this when you go to the polls to  vote on November 4 and cast your vote to send Robert Hurt back to Washington to continue working for the citizens of Southside Virginia.

Sincerely,

Red Kettle Volunteers Needed by the Salvation Army

The Chase City-Charlotte County Service Unit of the Salvation Army will display their red Christmas Kettles throughout our area starting on November 28th and continuing through December 20. It is through donations at these kettles that we are financially able to aid those in our community who are less fortunate.  With unemployment and other expenses constantly on the increase, your help is urgently needed.

To succeed during this holiday season, volunteers are needed to ring the bell. If you, your church, club, or any other organization would like to assist, please call 434-736-2387 for more information.  It is volunteers such as you that make our counties a wonderful place to live.

May God bless you for your efforts and for caring enough to make this bell ringing a success.

Sincerely,

Linda B. Guill

Service Unit Chairperson

Citizen Wants Warner Unseated

Two Sheriff’s Deputies were shot and killed in California this past Friday. The man who committed those murders was an illegal alien who had already been deported twice. Those murders are a direct result of Barack Obama’s open border policy. He allows murderers & terrorists to freely stalk our neighborhoods. He releases illegals convicted of felonies from prison onto our streets. He relocates illegals known to be diseased into our communities and our schools. The President says our borders are secure. That’s a lie. He says there’s not a smidgen of corruption at the IRS. Another lie. Keep my doctor? Keep my insurance? He is a known and prolific liar. The only truth I’ve heard him say lately was on the Al Sharpton radio show when he told the truth to a select audience saying incumbent Democrats were all supporters of him and his policies. Incumbent Democrat Senator Mark Warner is one of those supporters. He wants to make this election about “local” issues. But it’s not. This election is about Mark Warner being able to continue helping Barack Obama complete his fundamental transformation of America. The rest of what Mr. Warner says is distraction. He says he wants to help veterans and “fix” the VA. He’s been a sitting US Senator for 6 years. What’s he been doing? He also wants to fix ObamaCare. I guess he, like Nancy Pelosi, failed to read the legislation prior to his vote to pass it. So he forced a disastrous piece of legislation down our throats and now he runs for reelection on the promise to fix it? No. This cannot be allowed. The People of Virginia must take a stand against corruption. We must recognize the lies for what they are. We must realize that Mark Warner is not a friend to us. He is a loyal and ardent supporter of Barack Obama and his policies. He has a 6 year record of supporting and enabling dishonesty, incompetence and failure at the highest levels of our government. It’s time for him to go.

One Vote for Republicans

Below is a portion of a letter recently sent by Mitt Romney.  It expresses my feelings and could not have been stated better:

“It’s not a secret that President Obama has disappointed millions of Americans with his liberal policies and empty promises. Presently, far too many Americans are unemployed or underemployed, they’re struggling to make ends meet and support their families. Abroad, we face numerous international crises, from the increasing tension with Russia to rising security threats from the Middle East.

All of these issues must be addressed, but it’s clear that President Obama and his Democratic Senate majority have no effective solutions to challenges facing our country today.”

Thankfully, we can do something about it – we can elect a Republican Senate Majority. With your help, the American people will be able to elect a new class of Republican leaders, reformers who can implement real solutions to ensure a brighter future for America.

With your help, the voters in Virginia will be able to elect a new class of Republican leaders, reformers who can implement real solutions to ensure a brighter future for not only Virginia, but America.

I will be voting for both Ed Gillespie and Robert Hurt on November 4 because both candidates are fighting for job creation for the citizens of Virginia.  Both are advocates for the Virginia economy.  Robert Hurt fights constantly to get bipartisan jobs bills passed only to be blocked by the Democrat Senate.  As concerned citizens worried about the future of our country, we need to cast our votes on November 4 to send Robert Hurt back to Congress and Ed Gillespie to Washington as our new Senator.

For the sake of the future of our Nation and the Commonwealth of Virginia,
