Charlotte Man Arrested Again for Eluding Police

A speeding incident led to the second arrest of a Charlotte County man within the past two months.

Danzelle Clark was arrested following a pursuit after the 35-year-old driver was clocked by officers driving over 75 mph in a 45-mph zone. The incident took place in the Wylliesburg area of Charlotte County and carried into Mecklenburg before the driver was finally caught and arrested.

The pursuit included a chase on foot after the car driven by Clark was stopped. Several area police departments including Charlotte County, Virginia State Police and Mecklenburg County authorities teamed up during the pursuit.

Clark was previously arrested in February after eluding police. He was charged then with felony eluding as well as possession of a controlled substance and numerous traffic violations. Following that arrest, he was released on bond before this most recent incident that landed him back in jail.
