Staff Report

CHARLOTTE COURT HOUSE – Charlotte County Public Schools (CCPS) has announced that it will be sponsoring an Internet Safety Awareness seminar on Thursday, January 26, from 7-8 p.m. The event will be held in Randolph-Henry High School’s auditorium, located at 755 David Bruce Hwy. in Charlotte Court House.

Online safety must be a vital concern for today’s parents regardless of their child’s age. If your child is using a digital device, you are welcomed and encouraged to attend this informative meeting on ways to protect your family online. The presentation will cover current issues including digital citizenship, cyberbullying, inappropriate content, online solicitation, online privacy and solutions for safety.

The presentation is not limited to parents of children enrolled in Charlotte County Public Schools; parents of homeschooled children, extended families of CCPS students and members of the community are welcome to attend.

Due to the sensitive topics, this presentation is for adults only. Students will receive age-appropriate presentations at a later date.
