Charles Claiborne Scruggs, 52

Charles Claiborne Scruggs, age 52, of Cullen, Virginia passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at his home. He was born in Prince William County, Va. on June 9, 1961 to the late Jo Ella Dixon Scruggs Andrews and Henry Claiborne Scruggs. Charles grew up in Charlotte County, where he was well known for his wide-open love of life. His hobbies were boating, camping, fishing, skydiving and hanging out with the guys. His greatest contribution was his son Clay, who was his pride and joy. He will be remembered fondly by all his many friends and family.

He is survived by his son, Clay L. Scruggs; his sister, Joni S. Baldwin; his nephew, Ryan Baldwin; his stepsister, Joan Andrews; his stepbrother, Gary Andrews and wife Marie; and nephews Bryan and Forrest Andrews; and many close cousins, aunts and uncles.

His services were held on Sunday, November 24, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Cullen Baptist Church, Cullen Va. with interment in the church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to The Charles C. Scruggs Fund, c/o the Bank of Charlotte County PO Box 466, Charlotte CH. VA 23923.
