Chargers Take on Top Ranked Bulldogs

LUNENBURG – The Central Chargers Varsity Boy’s Basketball team has battled through a tough early portion of the James River District Schedule and will now start taking on some teams for the second time. A combination of missed games due to weather, injuries and depth has Central searching for their second win after beating Prince Edward recently.

The team hosted Goochland last week after having lost to the top-seeded Bulldogs on the road previously. This time, Central played better, but still could not pull out a win against a Goochland squad that is in the top 8 for 2A teams in the state this season.

Goochland took an early lead in the game and get a working margin throughout the game on the way to a 59-38 victory.
