The Statesmen and Chargers played a tough, but clean game and both teams remained scoreless until the final two minutes of the match-up, when the Charger’s Number 22, Sam Watson scored the only goal of the game. The Statesmen would end in a face-paced sprint towards the opponent’s goal to try to tie the game up, but fell short.

The Statesmen and Chargers will meet again on May 1, when Central will travel to Charlotte Court House, with a kickoff time of 5 p.m.
