Central Varsity 2 Central Varsity 1Central has put together a strong season and accumulated 11 wins on the way to coming close to securing the top spot for the upcoming Conference playoffs. Central and Cumberland are the only two 1A teams in the James River District and are paired in a Conference with Mathews, King and Queen, Charles City, Middlesex and West Point.

The Chargers are currently sitting above Mathews (2nd), Middlesex (3rd) and West Point (4th). The top seed will get a bye on Monday, which is the opening date for the Conference playoffs to begin.
