Central Shows Progress in Benefit Game Against Brunswick

BRUNSWICK – The Central Chargers had a successful benefit game last Friday night as they traveled to Brunswick for the game style scrimmage.

Central shows progressThe two team did not return kickoffs and both teams saw their first units get in the end zone a couple of times including a ten-yard touchdown run by Malik Foster. Central would get strong play from their second units as well as from their JV team who saw time in the game and looked strong while scoring several times to make the final score 35-14.

Central Head Coach Will Thomas stated, “We liked some of the things we saw on offense and drove the ball down the field several times.” He continued, “We have to keep improving but I think we saw progress from our first scrimmage to the Benefit Game this past Friday.”

The Chargers travel to Altavista for their season opener this Friday night.
