The Chargers have a young team this year and look to continue to get better each game. They did just that last week as they dropped the home opener to R-H in three sets, but played well at PE on the road, including winning the second set and playing close throughout.

Against R-H on Tuesday, the Lady Statesmen took the three set win with scores of:

Set 1:13-25, Set 2: 20-25, Set 3: 13-25.

In the game, Kayla Anthony, Emma Hart, and Brittany Tomlinson led the team with strong serves, while Sorie Scott was the leading hitter with  11 attacks. Brittany Tomlinson led CHS with 32 assists, while Miranda Franklin led the team with 6 digs.

In the Prince Edward game, the Lady Chargers would drop the first set by a 25-10 score, but rebounded to win the second set 25-19. In the third set, the teams would be close early on, but PE pulled away late to take a 25-16 win. The final set was another close one that came down to the end and PE once again pulled out a few late points to win 25-22.

In the PE game, Sorie Scott, Kaylee Williams and Emma Hart had strong serving nights with Scott recording 4 aces, Williams getting 3 aces and Hart getting 2 aces while having an 87% serve percentage. Sam Bishop led the team in kills on the night with 3, while Tomlinson had 29 assists.
