Central of Lunenburg Volleyball Drops Game to Cougars

JV team moves to 3-2 on the season with recent wins

jv-volleyball-3 jv-vball chs-var-vball-2 chs-var-vballLUNENBURG – The Central Chargers Varsity Volleyball team took on Nottoway last week and took a tough loss against an athletic and experienced Cougars squad.

The Cougars would take the overall victory in three sets with scores of: Set 1: 25-14, Set 2: 25-5 and Set 3: 25-10.

On the night Central got strong serving nights from Sorie Scott, Sam Bishop, Lauren Parrish, and Brittany Tomlinson who all had 100 serve percentages. Tomlinson led the team in sets and assists with 13 while Kaylee Williams led the team in attacks with 3. Sam Bishop had 4 kills on the night and Williams led the team with 3 digs.

The JV Chargers are off to a strong start on the volleyball court with a 3-2 record. The team did drop a tough match against Nottoway but rebounded to beat William Campbell after wins over Prince Edward and Buckingham to move .500 on the season.
