Central faces 1 Central faces 2VICTORIA – The Central Chargers cruised to an easy win over Cumberland in their opening playoff game, but things get much tougher this week when they travel to William Campbell for the second round game.

William Campbell is 8-2 on the season and their only losses came to a pair of really strong opponents in Appomattox and Thomas Jefferson.

The two teams are familiar with each other as William Campbell took a 41-36 win over Central early in the season. The Chargers have rebounded from their 0-4 start to the year and now sit at 5-6 with a chance to even their record and move to the Regional finals with an upset win.

In order to have that happen, Central will need to stop Josh Rosser who has been almost a one man offensive unit for WC this year. He has thrown for nearly 1500 yards and rushed for nearly 1500 yards this year.

Central will have to rely on their offense to put up big numbers and score points in this one. WC will look to slow down the CHS running attack and force the Chargers out of their comfort zone.

Central will travel to WC for the 7 p.m. start.
