marijuana and what appeared to be a controlled substance. She was charged with possession of a schedule III controlled substance, possession of marijuana, reckless driving and driving while suspended. The passenger, Billy Jack Hopper, 29, of Powhatan, was also found to be in possession of marijuana and what appeared to be controlled substances. He was charged with possession of marijuana, distribution of a controlled substance and carrying a concealed weapon as a convicted felon. Because he initially gave false identifying information to police, Hopper was also charged with identity fraud and providing false ID to law enforcement.”

Hopper was taken into custody at the Chesterfield County jail, transferred to the Charlotte County jail, allowed unsupervised custody then booked by the Piedmont County jail on February 19. Hopper was the 28th arrest that resulted from a 10-month investigation by the Tri-County Drug and Gang Task Force back in January. All 27 individuals were taken into custody without incident, except for Hopper who had remained unaccounted for until now.

He is currently being held in custody.
