Burglar Arrested by South Hill Police

Buglar arrestedSOUTH HILL – Officers from the SHPD responded to a burglar alarm at the Dollar General store (301 E. Atlantic St.) at approximately 3:15 a.m. Based on the observation of a vehicle leaving the area as units arrived, and surveillance footage, information was developed on a suspect. A short time later a search warrant was executed at the suspect’s residence on Windsor Street. At this location evidence from the breaking and entering was seized, namely the store’s safe and suspect vehicle. The suspect has pending charges for a separate prior offense and charges for this incident are forthcoming. The suspect was identified as Eric Robinson, a 28-year-old black male who has been living on Windsor Street in South Hill.

Eric Robinson was taken into custody in the 1800 Block of N. Mecklenburg by SHPD around 7:30 p.m. SHPD offered a “thanks” to VSP and Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office for assisting.
