Brett’s Garage Ransacked During Break-In

KEYSVILLE – The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a breaking and entering that occurred at Country Club Service Center (Brett Wilmouth’s Garage) on Old Kings Highway in Keysville.   The break-in occurred late Saturday night, May 13th, into the early morning hours of Sunday, May 14th.  Items that were taken included diagnostic equipment, air tools and 11 Interstate batteries.

According to Wilmouth, the thieves entered the shop by prying open a door. They then pried open every tool box with the exception of one which defied the attempts. They ransacked the shop and opened every cabinet in the shop as well as looked into every box on the shelves. The majority of items taken were Snap-on brand.

Wilmouth estimated the loss to exceed $30,000.00 and stated he will be installing an alarm and camera system for the building and premises.

The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office is offering a reward of $2,500.00 for information leading to an arrest and conviction in this case.  The office can be reached at 434-542-5141.
