Body Found in Amelia Private Pond

AMELIA – A private pond in Amelia County became the scene of an investigation recently as the Amelia County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the 6000 block of Dennisville Road after the body of a man was discovered at a private pond.

The body was retrieved by investigators and then transported to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Richmond. The body will be examined to find information on the identity. According to reports, the initial investigation found no signs of trauma to the body.
