Blue Devils Blast Nottoway

The Lunenburg Middle School Blue Devils got a huge win last week to complete a school team sweep against Nottoway in football this season.

The LMS offense used a strong running attack and good blocking to take down Nottoway last week in a shutout victory.

The Blue Devils got on the board early as Tzion Wilkerson had a 65-yard punt return in the first quarter. Trent Williams would add the two point conversion and LMS led 8-0. On the next possession Shammond Sellers picked off a tipped pass that set up a 31-yard touchdown run by Trent Williams. Khalil Wood added the two point run and LMS led 16-0 with six minutes left in the first half.

Wilkerson would then get an interception of his own to set up another touchdown run from Trent Williams. This time he picked up great blocking and raced in from 19 yards away. Wood added the two point conversion and LMS took a 24-0 lead to halftime.
The second half would be much the same as Sellers would recover a fumble on the first Nottoway possession. Williams and Wood both would score another touchdown in the second half and LMS claimed the 36-0 shut out win.
