1128 Thinking Caps 002The Honors Anatomy class at Fuqua School has been studying the human nervous system, more specifically, the brain. Mrs. Elizabeth Hodges Sears, upper school science teacher, had the students make “Thinking Caps” to teach the students spatially how their brains lie in their heads. Each cap was molded out of papier-mâché on top of a balloon. The caps portray the lobes of the brain: the frontal lobe, temporal lobe, parietal lobe, and occipital lobe. The students chose their own color scheme to represent the different lobes. When the students put on their “Thinking Caps”, the caps mirror the lobes of the brain.
