Balance of Power

As every fifth grade graduate here in Stump County knows, this great country, the U S of A, was founded with a constitution and a “balance of power.” We have a president, congress and courts. This was done to prevent any one person or group from having an excess of power.

logo-stump countyThose who actually paid attention in fifth grade know that balance of power is in three parts called Legislative, Judicial and Executive. The Legislative branch of Government is called bicameral meaning two branches, neither of which answers to the other.

So everybody understands how this works and it has worked pretty well since 1776.

Well, dip me in corn meal and call me a hush puppy. Everybody knows this but President Yo Mama. He keeps doing things and calling them executive privilege. He got the health care for the universe passed and that was according to the law even if it wasn’t smart. Then he used his “executive privilege” to postpone parts of the law and to decide when to enforce other parts. He decided not to enforce parts of the immigration laws and just this month he decided to make “recess appointment” even though congress wasn’t in recess.

As usual there are some knee jerk politicians who support him. They would support a “yellow dog” if he was a democrap. To be fair, there are just as many “yellow dog republicons.” If Yo Mama was a republicon they would be supporting him.

What’s happening now is Yo Mama bypassed the legislative branch so the Judicial Branch is hearing the case. I’ll bet you my jack knife with a broken blade against anything he’s agonna lose this one.

The only person who would support a power grab like that is that Kim guy in Korea (and some yellow dogs).
