Armed, Dangerous Subject Located

SOUTH HILL – The search for a man in the South Hill area came to a close last week after South Hill Police Department officials issued a release to be aware of an armed and dangerous subject, Skylar Seward.

Seward was apprehended in Warren County, N.C. Officers and detectives with SHPD developed information about his location. The Warren County Sheriff’s Office was given the information and they located and arrested him on three felonies from South Hill and Mecklenburg County. He is being held in the Warren County Detention Center pending extradition to Virginia.

Seward was named on multiple warrants stemming from the events on Saturday 11/4/17. During the initial incident SHPD units were dispatched to 700 Lombardy St. in reference to a breaking and entering and assault. Upon arrival, officers observed evidence of forced entry into the residence. They then spoke to the victim who had injuries to the face consistent with an assault. It was learned that the victim’s cell phone was taken during the attack and the suspect had fled the scene. Seward was identified as the suspect at that time and had been eluding authorities since that time until the recent arrest.
