Relay for Life 2014 042SOUTHSIDE – The Charlotte County Relay for Life is set to take place at the John H. Daniel Campus of SVCC in Keysville this Saturday, June 3, 2017, beginning at 1:30 p.m. Be sure to come out and join in the fun while raising money for the American Cancer Society. There will be lots of fun and games including a “Let’s Make a Deal” lap, Summer Fun lap, a Purple lap, a hoola-hoop contest and so much more. Let’s not forget the crowd favorite, Chicken Bowling, and see who will be this year’s Bowling King or Queen.

Registration for the Survivor’s Dinner will begin at 4:00 p.m. where survivors will gather to get their tee shirts and hear music from Stoney Ridge. The survivor lap will take place at 5:00 p.m. followed by the caregiver lap. The survivor lap is a community opportunity to celebrate the lives of cancer patients and encourage those newly diagnosed. Afterwards, survivors and their guests will be escorted to dinner and bingo in the Workforce Development Building. Teams will continue to relay until the Luminaria Ceremony that will be held at dusk when luminarias will be lit in honor of or in memory of loved ones who have been affected by cancer.

Come out and visit with friends and neighbors and support this event in hopes of finding a cure!
