Ann Elizabeth Crawley, 72

Mrs. Ann Elizabeth Crawley, 72, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Saturday, February 1, 2014 at her residence.

Mrs. Crawley was born in Charlotte County, VA July 30, 1941 to the late Hollie and Lena Hattie Lambert Walton. She received her education in the Charlotte County Public Schools and was a graduate of Central High School. At an early age she joined Organ Hill Baptist Church and later joined Shiloh Baptist Church. Mrs. Crawley was formerly employed by Remco Manufacturing for over 10 years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Lena Crawley; one son, Ervin Crawley, Jr. and four brothers, Sylvester Walton, Larry Roberts, Cornelius Roberts and Aubery Roberts .

Cherishing her memories are her husband, Ervin Crawley of Chase City, VA; four children, Fern M. Higgs and Leon Crawley, both of Portsmouth, VA, Alfonso Crawley and Michael Crawley, both of Newark, NJ; 18 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren ;12 great-grandchildren; 7 step-great-grandchildren; one brother, William V. Roberts of Keysville, VA; two sisters, Barbara Ann Roberts of Chase City, VA and Clarice M. Roberts of Camden, NJ; and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ann Elizabeth Crawley will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Shiloh Baptist Church, Drakes Branch, VA with Rev. Rickey D. Sampson, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until 7:00 P.M. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
