Alex Clark Wins Eureka Spelling Bee

EUREKA – On Thursday, December 7, 2017 Eureka Elementary School held their annual Spelling Bee. Two students from grades 1-5 competed in the Spelling Bee.
Mrs. Jennifer Grey welcomed everyone and introduced the judges, Mrs. Augusta Carwile, Mr. Billy Catron and Mrs. Bonita Hamlett and ten contestants.
After 21 rounds, fifth grader Alex Clark was named 2017 Eureka Spelling Bee Winner. Kyasia White, fifth grade, was 1st runner up. Both students will compete in the county Spelling Bee to be held at Central Middle School on January 17, 2018.
