Mrs. Alease Jones White, 95, formerly of Skipwith, VA, entered eternal rest Tuesday, February 25, 2014 in Henrico, VA.

alease jones whiteMrs. White was born in Mecklenburg County, VA August 13, 1918 to the late Thomas Edward and Julia Pulliam Jones. She attended the schools of Mecklenburg County, VA and was a member of Rocky Mount Baptist Church. Mrs. White was a former member of Household of Ruth and a retired farmer.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sandy William White; one son, Sandy W. White, Jr.; one daughter, Dorothy Ann White and one brother, William Edward Jones.

Cherishing her memories are her children, Mary Alice Jones (William) of Clarksville, VA and Louise A. Ruffin (Kenneth) of Henrico, VA; seven grandchildren, Carnell (Adell), Elton (Shirley), Douglas (Yvonne), Curtis (Wendy), Edith (Bilal), Doris (Ricky) and Teawanda; 13 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Robert Jones and Alex Jones, both of Baltimore, MD; one aunt, Isabell Minor; two sisters-in-law, Laura Bell White and Clara White and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Alease Jones White will be conducted 11:00 A.M. March 1, 2014 at St. Luke Baptist Church, Skipwith, VA with Rev. Willie L. Carter, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until 7:00 P.M.

Arrangements are by C. H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Clarksville,VA.
