AJ Hadsell: Heroin Involved In Student’s Death

According to a press release from the Norfolk Police Department, The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner notified the Norfolk Police Department that the cause of death in the Anjelica “AJ” Hadsell case is “Acute Heroin Poisoning,” and the manner of death is “Undetermined.”

hadsell18-year-old Anjelica Hadsell of Norfolk, Va. disappeared on March 2, 2015 while on Spring Break from Longwood University. After missing for over a month, A press release from the Southampton County Sheriff’s Office revealed that human remains were discovered on April 9, 2015 in the 34000 block of Smith’s Ferry Rd. in Southampton County. The remains were positively identified on April 10th, 2015, by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Norfolk as missing Longwood University student Anjelica Hadsell.

The Norfolk Police Department’s investigation of this case is ongoing. There is no other information available at this time.
