On September 12, 2015 the 2nd annual Adventure Chase Mud Challenge will be held in Chase City in memory of Heather-Anne Tucker. In 2014, its very successful inaugural year, all proceeds were given to three local beneficiaries. This year there will again be three organizations that share in the event’s proceeds. Those organizations are The Barksdale Foundation, Mecklenburg County Cancer Association and Lake Country SPCA. The mud challenge will take place rain or shine.
Teams of 4-6 people will compete to traverse 20 obstacles and cover 5 kilometers before reaching the finish line. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. with waves starting at 9:30 for the competitive teams, followed by teams that are in it “just for the fun of it.” Team members must be at least 15 years old to participate. Everyone is welcome from runners to walkers and everyone in between.
Reduced registration rate of $150 per team remains in effect until August 20th after which time the rate will increase to $200 per team. We look forward to having people from all over Virginia and North Carolina compete and run for fun.
New this year will be a children’s 1 kilometer, six-obstacle course that kids can run once or as many times as they would like. It just depends on how much energy they have!
