The Lunenburg Chamber of Commerce continues their mission as a business organization to be a big part of the local community, but also to focus on the promotion of local businesses in Lunenburg County. The group recently started a “Business of the Month Award” and has named ABC Recycling for that honor in September.
No business in the county may have shown as much growth as ABC Recycling since they came to their 500 Main Street location in Kenbridge. The business began in 2006 with just three employees and has quickly grown to become one of the top scrap metal businesses in North America. They also became the largest processor of catalytic converters in North America and that huge growth has allowed them to open and expand sister businesses that are also now located in Kenbridge.
In addition to offering services for local residents, the business brings in many people from out of town locations and even out of state locations.
ABC officials note that they take special care of the clients, offering frequent incentives to sell metal to the company. They also offer a wide range of materials that can be brought to the location including starters, alternators, AC compressors, rims, batteries, steel, aluminum, copper, brass, and more.
ABC officials also point out that understanding how to put customers first is the way to a successful business.
With the job creation, influx of customers to the area and overall growth of the company, ABC Recycling is certainly a staple in the business community of Lunenburg and a worthy recipient of this Chamber sponsored award.
