0926 prayer gardenAntioch Baptist Church invites Red Oak residents and others in the surrounding area to visit the Perennial Garden of Prayer located on the grounds of the church. The garden was created as an area of retreat “to see God in the beauty of the flowers.”

Throughout the spring and summer, the area bursts with color from the blooms of phlox, peonies, azaleas, hydrangeas, hosta, daylilies, Knockout roses and shrub roses. The garden is located in a quiet and peaceful rural area for individuals who wish to have a time of meditation and prayer. In addition to providing an area for personal devotions, it is a lovely setting for small weddings and other special events.

The Perennial Garden of Prayer is maintained by a member of the church who actually designed and landscaped the garden, and the public is invited to come and spend quiet time there.  The address of Antioch Baptist Church is 6700 Barnesville Highway, Red Oak.  For more information, call 434-735-8101.
