Despite the gray skies and rainy weather, the 45th annual “Blackstone Arts and Crafts Festival” took place on Saturday, September 13-14 with a host of vendors and entertainment that provided a little bit of something for everyone.

In addition to a large number of talented arts and crafts vendors from up and down the east coast, this year’s festival featured entertainment provided by the Nottoway High School Band, Brinn Black, Live From Mad Cat Alley Jazz, Fifth Gear, a pro bass angler seminar and tours of local attractions.   For the gear heads, a variety of antique tractors and engines were on display as well as a unique selection of vehicles at the car show.

Arts and Crafts vendors provided everything from jewelry to dog blankets and scarves.  There was even entertainment to keep the little ones busy in the form of wagon and barrel train rides.  With so many different activity options at the 45th Annual Arts and Crafts Festival, spectators were sure to work up a pretty healthy appetite and there was no shortage of food vendors offering classic festival favorites such as funnel cakes!

The Arts and Crafts Festival is sponsored by the Blackstone Chamber of Commerce.
