Postal customers now have an easier way to do business after hours in Drakes Branch.

“360 Get-N-Go,” located at the intersection of 360 and 47, is now home to the 18th Village Post Office in the Richmond District. On Thursday, August 1 representatives from the USPS Richmond District arrived at “360 Get-N-Go” to officially welcome the store as an adoptee of the Village Post Office concept.

ts2The idea behind the Village Post Office is that the USPS customers will be able to access their services outside of normal business hours. Services offered will include the sale of stamps, Priority Mail Flat Rate boxes and envelopes.

Additionally, postage-paid letters and packages may be dropped off for free carrier pickup.

Because Post Office hours are being cut in rural areas, Village Post Offices provide a great way for customers to have more access to stamps and other items that are commonly used.

“I’m very excited for this opportunity to be able to work with the Post Office again,” said Mary Woodlock, qwner of “360 Get-N-Go.”
